Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls are two of your favorite desserts wrapped into one. I love to take store bought ingredients and spice them up a bit to make the perfect easy dessert that tastes like it took you all day to make. Keep reading below to find out how to make this deliciously easy dessert.

Semi-Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Store bought cinnamon rolls are such a yummy thing you can use in so many desserts to save you some time. When I have a crowd coming over and need something quick Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect thing to make. You just simply cook your cinnamon rolls as normal, and you can really add any toppings you like.

Don’t Forget the Pie Part

For the Apple pie part, I like to whip up some fried apples in the crock pot to go over top. This is not necessary, if you are on a time crunch, you can totally heat up a can of apple pie filling, or even cherry would be amazing. But my Crock Pot Fried Apples add that extra special touch.

Extra Frosting Never Hurt Anyone

Now that you have your cinnamon roll base, and your warm cinnamon apples on top, you need some frosting. Frosting is, of course, the best part of any dessert. You can use the topping that comes with your store-bought cinnamon rolls, but extra frosting never hurt anyone, right.

My Homemade Cream Cheese Frosting makes any dessert that much better. I like to use this frosting on top of so many desserts, and it also makes a wonderful fruit dip. And who doesn’t like a versatile recipe to have in their back pocket?

Served Hot

So now you have your cinnamon rolls topped with apples and cream cheese frosting. You would think that would be delicious enough as is, and let me tell you, it is. But I also love to serve these hot with vanilla ice cream on top. Yum.
